Birds in 7

That was simply an amazing game. No mixed feelings for my old team - it's been all Cardinals all the way. Yadier Molina's homerun is one of those hits that will stay with you.

And to think Endy Chavez almost ruined it all with that amazing catch. My god that was a good catch. Not as good as Jim Edmonds' catch in Houston two years ago, but a good catch.

Edmonds' catch was prettier, but considering the game situation (later inning, mostly) and the fact that the ball was about two feet beyond the wall, I give Chavez's the slight nod. One more inch and it was gone.

Probably just a matter of aesthetics at this point.

You'll be glad to note that I am fully behind the Cards at this point. This is the worst version of the Cardinals in a long time, but I have a great dislike of the Tigers. Except young Bonderman.

Mike, no mixed feelings for your old team? I think I expressed most of my thoughts on the phone last nights, but talk about a transplant gone wrong.
